What is this?

WHAT IS THIS? Well. It is a story. That you read. On your phone or laptop or watch or smoke detector or whatever else they put microchips into these days. It is free. So no complaining. You get what you pay for.

What is the story about? It's hard to say at this point. Really, it could be about anything. What do you like to read? Romance? Cerebral thrillers? Horoscopes? Whatever it is, let's just say that you're about to read exactly that. ("Whatever gets their finger in the page," as my colleagues say. Rotten smudges.)

Look, you know as much as I do. All I have is a general sense of what's to come. And, truthfully, it doesn't seem like it's going to be what you expect at all. So, in other words: disappointing.
